👥 All Users Group
We’ve introduced a dynamic “All Users” group that’s automatically available in every org, whether or not SCIM is enabled.
This makes it easier to assign visibility, permissions, or Assistant access to your entire org without manual updates.
Access this under Admin > Groups.
🤖 Custom Assistants Updates
✨ Custom Assistants Dashboard
When viewing Custom Assistants, you’ll now see the model powering each one listed in the dashboard. This helps admins and builders better understand what’s running under the hood.
Access this Under Content > Assistants.
🧠 New Option: Select GPT-5
You can now choose GPT-5 as the model for any Custom Assistant.
This unlocks more advanced reasoning, better understanding of context, and higher-quality responses for complex use cases.
Access this Under Content > Assistants > View Assistants >Edit Assistants.
🔁 Regenerate Prompts
The new Regenerate button lets users easily rerun a prompt to receive a different response, without having to start over.
⚠️ Full Disclaimers
We’ve improved how disclaimers appear in GovAI:
Full text now displays in-line (no more hover-only previews)
Makes guidance and model disclaimers more visible and accessible
👤 Profile Updates
📞 Phone field removed for simplicity
💼 Functional area changed from a free-text field to a dropdown menu, making user categorization more consistent across teams
Access this Under Your Name > Profile > Add Functional Areas.
🔄 GovAI Platform Update
General improvements across the board including better system responsiveness, stability, and model integration. You’ll now notice improvements to your experience, including:
Faster performance and greater reliability
Enhanced and more thorough web search capabilities

August Product Updates:
Community Collaboration, Data Retention, and Risk Visibility
We’ve rolled out a series of impactful updates to help teams share Assistant knowledge, control thread data retention, and better audit platform usage. Here’s what’s new:
✨ What's New
🌐 Community Assistants
We’ve introduced a new Community Assistants space - where reusable Assistants can be shared across organizations.
Perfect for generic use cases (e.g., HR policy advisors, bylaw helpers, procurement bots)
Updates to these Assistants are pushed automatically to all users
Promotes collaboration and consistency across government teams
Only GovAI staff can publish to the Community space at this time.
You can access this via Content > Assistants > then click Install an Assistant.
🧠 Retention Settings for Threads
Admins have the ability to control how long threads are retained within GovAI. This is especially helpful for organizations with data privacy and compliance policies.
Define retention limits for user conversations
Align with compliance and privacy requirements
Reduce long-term data exposure
You can configure these options via Admin Settings > Retention.
🧾 Visible to Users:
Users will now see a clear message in their workspace when retention settings are active (e.g. "Threads will be deleted after 90 days").
➡️ Pinned threads are excluded from deletion.
This transparency helps ensure users are aware of what data is being retained—and for how long—so they can pin or save important threads accordingly.
🔍 Risk Center Log Export
We’ve added the ability to export Risk Center log data, giving Admin and Privacy teams deeper visibility into user behavior, especially around PII access.
Useful for audits, targeted training, and compliance reviews
Allows export of activity logs tied to privacy-sensitive content
Supports proactive monitoring and documentation
Access this in Risk Center > then click View Log.
⚙️ Set Default Assistants
Users can now set a default Assistant, making it even easier to jump into your most common tasks without needing to search or select each time.
The default Assistant loads automatically when you open GovAI
Great for teams who rely on a specific Assistant for daily workflows
Saved at the user level, customize it for your own needs
Access this by clicking on the Assistant Icon > then select Set as Default.

More Control with User Invites + File Search Tuning
We’ve rolled out several enhancements to streamline user management and improve your experience managing SCIM-connected teams.
✨ What's New
🔎 File Search Relevance Threshold
We’ve introduced an internal update that refines how we return file search results using Assistants —prioritizing relevance to improve your experience when navigating large datasets.
👥 User Invites – More Flexibility and Autonomy
Originally developed to help SCIM-connected customers invite inactive users, our invite flow has evolved into a powerful tool for all admins. You can now manage and send invitations with more precision and context.
🗂 Users Dashboard Enhancements
✅ New Filters in “Existing” Tab
You can now easily identify and act on users who haven’t logged in:
Filter by Login Status: Select from “All Users,” “Has Logged In,” or “Has Not Logged In”.
Bulk Invite Option: Use Bulk Actions > Invite Selected Users to send invites to selected users.
📬 Invite Inactive Users
A one-click button now lets you invite all inactive users who haven’t logged in yet— for SCIM scenarios. Find this under the Invited tab (you will only see it if you have inactive users).
💌 Improved Invite Modal
We've streamlined the invitation flow:
Pre-filled Message (Required): Customize a pre-written invitation with context and encouragement.
Email Preview: See exactly what your recipient will receive before sending.
Domain Restrictions visibility: Displays the approved email domains (e.g., civia.com, govai.com) that users can only be invited with.
📤 Export the Users Dashboard
Need a snapshot of your user base? You can now export the user list from the Existing tab using the Export button at the bottom of the page.
These updates are designed to give you greater visibility, control, and ease of use -whether you're onboarding a small team or managing an enterprise deployment.
