By following these steps, you can install the GovAI web application on Microsoft Edge and make it accessible from your desktop or taskbar like a native app.

Step 1: Log in to GovAI

  1. Launch Microsoft Edge.

  2. Navigate to GovAI's website ( https://govai.com)

  3. Log in with your username and password

  4. Once logged in, remain on the landing page of GovAI

Step 2: Access the "Apps" Menu

  1. Once you are logged in and on the desired page, look at the top-right corner of the Edge window.

  2. Click the three-dot menu (settings menu) next to your profile picture.

Step 3: Install GovAI as an App

  1. In the dropdown menu, navigate to Apps.

  2. Select Install this site as an app.

  3. A confirmation window will appear asking you to name the app (it should default to "GovAI"). You can leave it as is or customize the name.

  4. Click Install.

Step 4: Pin GovAI to Taskbar or Start Menu

  1. After the app installs, a new window will open with the GovAI web app running in its own standalone window.

  2. You’ll see a prompt that allows you to pin the GovAI app to your Taskbar or Start Menu:

    • Pin to Taskbar: This adds a quick-launch icon to your taskbar.

    • Pin to Start Menu: This places the app in your Start Menu for easy access.

  3. Choose your preferred option(s)

Step 5: Launching GovAI

  • You can now launch GovAI directly from your Taskbar or Start Menu. The app will open with you already logged in, thanks to the authentication step performed earlier.
