GovAI supports Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language), allowing organizations to streamline user authentication through their existing identity provider. This enhances both security and user convenience by enabling centralized login. To access the SSO integration, you must be an Administrator on the account.

How to Set Up SSO in GovAI

  1. Go to your SSO page:
Navigate to Admin → Single Sign-On in your GovAI app.

  2. Click “Go to Identity SSO Page.”
You’ll see a banner that says Migrating to Self-Hosted Infrastructure - click the button to open the new page.

  3. Generate Configuration Link: Click “Generate SAML Management Link” and “Click to manage your SAML connection” right afterwards to obtain a one-time-use URL for accessing the SAML Configuration Panel.

  4. Enable SSO: In the GovAI admin interface, toggle the SSO switch to begin the configuration process.

  5. Follow the Setup Guide for Your Provider:

  6. Configure SAML Details in Your IdP:

    • Use the information provided in the configuration panel to set up a new SAML application.

Key Steps in the SAML Provider Setup:

  1. Log in to your SAML provider’s admin console.

  2. Create a new SAML application for GovAI.

  3. Use the information provided in the SAML Configuration Panel to populate the required fields in your SAML provider (e.g., SSO URL, certificate details).

  4. Save the configuration in your SAML provider.

Test and Verify

Once your SAML configuration is complete:

  1. Log out of GovAI and attempt to log in as a user.

  2. Ensure that you’re redirected to your SAML provider for authentication.

  3. Verify that you can successfully log in to GovAI after authenticating with your provider.
