When creating and managing folios, it’s important to understand the supported file formats, image processing capabilities, and recommendations for file quantity and size. Here's a detailed guide to help you navigate these aspects effectively:

Supported File Types for Folios

We support a wide range of document formats that can be included in your folios to ensure compatibility and ease of access. The supported file types include:

  • Documents: .doc, .docx, .pdf, .pptx, .md, .txt

  • Programming and Markup Files: .c, .cpp, .cs, .css, .go, .html, .java, .js, .json, .php, .py, .rb, .sh, .tex, .ts

These formats are chosen to cover a broad scope of uses, ensuring that both textual and code-based documents can be integrated into your folios.

Recommendations for File Quantity and Size

Although there aren't any "soft caps" in place for the number of documents or pages per folio, there are hard limits you should be aware of:

  • Total Files Limit: Up to 10,000 files.

  • File Size Limit: Each file can be up to 512MB.

For optimal retrieval quality and performance, we recommend including fewer, highly relevant files in your folios. This approach helps maintain the accuracy and efficiency of the information retrieval process. For instance, when creating an assistant for HR Policies, aim to include only documents directly pertaining to that subject for best results.
